1 · The goal
Be the first to shed every card. You play through three stages, in order:
Hand7 cards, always refilled to 2 while the Spare lasts
→
Face-up home2 cards on the table
→
Face-down home2 cards played blind
2 · Card order
Basic cards rank from low to high:
Q has no value of its own. 2, 8 and 10 are Specials and beat everything. 7 is a Basic with a twist.
The game uses one deck per three players (3 players · 1 deck, 4–6 players · 2 decks).
3 · Your turn
The badge above the pile tells you what the pile requires:
- Any card — the pile is empty, or a 2, Q or 10 started it.
- J or higher — play a Basic equal to or higher than the top card, or any Special.
- Below 7 — after a 7 you need 3, 4, 5, 6 or a Special.
- 9 · J · K · A or Special — after an 8.
Playing several cards: cards of the same rank can go down together — — and a Queen can join a group of her suit — . A Special's effect applies once per play.
After playing, you draw back up to two cards while the Spare deck lasts. Once played, a card cannot be withdrawn.
Nothing fits? You must pick up the whole pile — and the player who threw the top card continues. If the pile is empty and nothing can be played, you pass.
4 · Special cards
2 ResetThe 2 stays on the pile and anything may follow it (except a lone Q).
7 Below 7The next player must play below 7 (3–6) or a Special. Normal play resumes from whatever they play.
8 SkipThe next player misses their turn. The following play must beat 8: 9, J, K, A or another Special.
10 BurnThe whole pile, 10 included, leaves the game. You start a fresh pile immediately.
Q QueenNo value by herself. She can only leave your hand riding on a playable card of the same suit. Q + Q is never allowed.
Specials can be played on each other, but a Special can never be your final card.
5 · Home cards
- Home cards unlock only once the Spare deck is empty.
- With two or more cards in hand you must play from your hand. With one card left you may play it or any face-up home card (a same-rank pair or a Queen pairing may go together).
- Face-up cards go before face-down ones.
- Blind cards: flip a face-down card and you must play it. If it doesn't fit, you pick up the pile and the revealed card joins your hand.
6 · Picking up
- You may only pick up when you have no legal play.
- You take the entire pile into your hand.
- The player who threw the top card continues (if they have finished, play passes to the next seat after them).
- If the pile is empty and nothing fits, you pass instead.
7 · Winning
- Shed your hand, then your face-up home cards, then your face-down ones — the first player with no cards left wins.
- The table can keep playing to settle 2nd, 3rd and so on; the standings show every placing.
- House rulings: a 10 flipped as the first pile card burns itself; an 8 as the first card requires 9+ but skips nobody.
